Coffee & Chocolate's Role in Protecting Our Forests

 Registration is closed for this event
This session will explore how chocolate and coffee production serve as key examples of how agricultural supply chains can not only reduce, but potentially even reverse, their negative environmental impacts to become nature positive.

Pulling from our experience working with the coffee and cocoa industries, we will cover

1) the state of play of increasingly standardized requirements and standards regarding companies’ impacts on land;

2) best practice for on-farm supply chain emissions removals, what counts, and how;

3) ensuring equitable cost and benefit sharing;

4) innovations in supply shed approaches that could allow corporates to share carbon claims to overcome sourcing overlap and ensure initiatives are grounded in the landscape context.

The event will feature speakers from Conservation International and industry leaders.
